Learn How to Ride the Bus with Confidence!

Have you always wanted to ride the bus but weren’t quite sure how to get started? Join us for a hands-on session where we’ll walk you through the basics of using a SmarTrip card—including how to set up an account, add money, and use it on Metrobus. Afterward, we’ll put our new skills into practice with a fun and friendly group ride to and from Jetties.  They have sandwiches, salads, soup, and ice cream. People aged 65 and older qualify for a senior SmarTrip card. Senior fares are half of the regular Metro fares!

If you don’t have a SmarTrip card yet, don’t worry—the easiest place to get one is at the Little Falls Library in Bethesda (5501 Massachusetts Ave, Bethesda MD 20816, phone 240-773-9520). You can get one any time the library is open. Be sure to have a passport or government ID with your date of birth. And you’re welcome to join us even if you don’t have a card yet.
